Well I've finally gotten moved into my "new" place. I moved about 40 miles north of town to a rural farm area. I moved into a house that was built in the 30's or 40's as a settler's cabin. I'm now working for Mr Billy. This was a huge step on the way to living my dreams. He told me I can put horses out there because I have a barn on my place, as well as cows behind my house. I can walk out my door and take a leak if I want to, I can see the stars, and I don't have neighbors. Mr Billy's house is about 1/4 mile away as well as the nearest neighbor. If I have to work in New Orleans it's 90 miles. I love it.
My truck broke down the other day. My injection pump went out so that's gonna cost $2k plus all the work I missed cause I didn't have my truck to pull the trailer.
Anyway, that's about all. I'll write more when I get internet at my house.
Well I'm now a quarter of a century old. Feel like I'm about double that. Things have been pretty good I guess and I welcomed in a New Year again, albeit single.
Today I talked to Mr. Billy and I'm making a move. I'm now ranch manager up there and in exchange for work I'm getting to live in the rent house for free. I'm so freaking excited!!!! I have free reign of the place and Mr Billy told me that I do have a stake in the place so that made it even sweeter. Now I have to call Demco and get the power turned on, as well as the phone so I can get online. Hoping to be moved in less than a week. I'm finally mkaing moves to follow one of my dreams. I may have to drive half way around the world to get to work but damn it I'll be happier than a pig in shit!
